Interconnection Process

Westlands Water District administers all interconnection requests to the WWD Transmission System pursuant to its Transmission Owner Access Policy (TOAP) and Large Generator Interconnection Procedures (LGIP).

Interconnection requests to the WWD Transmission System are administered by Westlands Water District (WWD) pursuant to its Transmission Owner Access Policy (TOAP) and Large Generator Interconnection Procedures (LGIP). WWD utilizes a structured, cluster-based interconnection process designed to evaluate eligible projects efficiently, consistently, and transparently.

Applicants should review all governing materials and submission requirements before applying. Additional materials will be posted in advance of each interconnection request window.

Interconnection Requests

Request windows, technical materials, and submission instructions will be posted in advance of each application cycle. Expected notices include:

  • Application Window: June 15 to June 26
  • Advance Notice Period: Materials and technical requirements will be posted prior to the opening of the request window.
  • Updates: This page will be updated as schedules are finalized.

Interconnection Request Submission Process

  • Complete the Interconnection Request Form through the Interconnection Customer PortalInterconnection Customer Portal
  • Westlands Water District will assign an Application ID (VCIP-XXXX) and provide a secure project folder link.
  • Upload the completed Interconnection Request Application package and all supporting documents using the provided folder link.
  • Use the same folder throughout the review process to submit revisions, cure deficiencies, and exchange project documents with District staff.

Complete applications are accepted only during the designated interconnection request window.
